Russia’s defense giant Kalashnikov on August 10 showcased a Granat-4 drone featuring a new gyro-stabilized electro-optical system with a laser target designation.
“The Granat-4 mobile remote surveillance and retransmission system with GOESCN is designed for remote surveillance using video and thermal imaging equipment at any time of day at a distance of up to 70 km. [It provides] laser target designation for high-precision munitions with a passive laser guidance head,” the product document states, according to TASS.
A laser designator is a device that uses a laser beam to precisely pinpoint a target, enabling weapons guided by semi-active lasers to accurately strike the designated point. Examples of such weapons are the Krasnopol guided artillery round and the Kh-38ML air-launched missile, which are both heavily used in the Russian special military operation zone in Ukraine.
The new system can also automatically track moving and stationary targets from a range of 100 meters up to 12 kilometers.
According to Kalashnikov, the Granat-4 equipped with the new electro-optical system has a takeoff weight of around 55 kg, a flight speed of 90-130 kilometers per hour, a maximum flight altitude of 3000 meters and an operational range of 55 kilometers.
The new version of the Granat-4 will pose a real challenge to Kiev forces. Due to its small radar cross section, and minimal infrared footprint, the drone will likely be able to infiltrate densely defended areas along the front in the special military operation zone, to identify, track and designate targets.

russia might collapse very soon, there hasn’t been significant updates from the front lines aside from putler gaining a tiny piece of ukraine day by day. ukraine will definitely recapture and pull the same moves they did back then. also ruzzia lost.
chatjew pt5 you suck. crappy system and bad predictions. with jews you lose
russian capture of territory is increasing every month while the ukrainian army is showing more and more signs of extreme weakness.
the alaskan meeting is plain proof that the frontline is about to break and that the usa is panicked.
this idiot spouting obvious lies is another proof.
how deal with people who deny reality?
– you can help this person by not forcing them to accept the truth. give them time to cope with it…. etc

according to political scientist paul d’anieri, russia had the following four causes to start its war with ukraine in 2014, as well as for the 2022 war:
russia’s desire to regain control of ukraine and turn it into a puppet regime.
russia’s conception of itself as a great power entitled to a sphere of influence over the former soviet republics.
democratic ukraine being a threat to authoritarian regime in russia.
and not wanting ukraine in nato.
“democracy” is fake and gay
you hardly have a democracy when there is no press freedom, no debate, repression of unwanted ideas and certainly no elections. “democratic ukraine” is exactly the kind of “democracy” the eu and uk are setting up right now.
and we know since plato that democracy is a polite dictatorship anyway.
gonzalo lira could tell you about ukrainian democracy. if he wasn’t murdered because he said things that displeased the ukrainian government, that is.
