شهدت ليلة 11-12 أغسطس موجة جديدة من ضربات الطائرات المسيرة الأوكرانية في عمق الأراضي الروسية، حيث استهدفت مسيرات أهدافًا حيوية تقع على بعد مئات الكيلومترات من خطوط الجبهة. ووفقًا لوزارة الدفاع الروسية، فقد اعترضت الدفاعات الجوية الروسية 38 طائرة مسيرة أوكرانية عبر خمس مناطق، من بينها هجوم جريء على بعد المدى ضد منشأة صناعية دفاعية استراتيجية في ستافروبول. يأتي تكثيف هذه الضربات في لحظة دبلوماسية حساسة، قبل أيام قليلة من المحادثات المقررة بين الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين والرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب.
امتدت موجة الهجمات من جنوب غرب روسيا إلى منطقة فولغوغراد، حيث تم اعتراض الطائرات المسيرة فوق مناطق روستوف (22)، وستافروبول (3)، وأوليانوفسك (3)، وبيلгород (1)، وأهمها تتارستان (9)، حيث تم التصدي لهجوم جماعي بالطائرات المسيرة على بعد 1200 كم داخل روسيا. وعلى الرغم من إعلان السلطات عدم وقوع إصابات، وتأكيد استمرار العمل بشكل طبيعي في جميع المنشآت، فإن الانتشار الجغرافي لهذه الضربات يُظهر القدرة المتزايدة لأوكرانيا على اختراق المجال الجوي الروسي متى شاءت.
استهدفت أخطر هجمات هذه الموجة مصنع “مونوكريستال” في ستافروبول، وهو منتج رئيسي للياقوت الصناعي المستخدم في البصريات العسكرية وأنظمة الليزر ومعدات الحرب الإلكترونية. وقد أفاد السكان المحليون بحدوث خمسة انفجارات على الأقل حوالي الساعة 3 صباحًا، عندما تدخلت الدفاعات الجوية للتصدي للطائرات المسيرة القادمة. وبينما ادعت السلطات التصدي الناجح للهجوم، أظهرت الصور الواردة من موقع الحادث اندلاع حرائق بالقرب من المنشأة. ويقع المصنع على بعد 520 كم من الأراضي التي تسيطر عليها أوكرانيا، ويتولى تصنيع مكونات حيوية لأنظمة توجيه الصواريخ، وكاميرات الطائرات المسيرة، وأجهزة استشعار المركبات المدرعة، ما يجعله هدفًا استراتيجيًا ذا قيمة عالية. وقد أكد عمدة ستافروبول وقوع أضرار في المباني السكنية نتيجة حطام الطائرات المسيرة الساقط، لكنه تجنب الإشارة مباشرة إلى الهجوم على المصنع. ولا تزال أي أضرار كبيرة في المنشأة بحاجة إلى تأكيد.
يبدو أن توقيت هذه الهجمات محسوب بدقة لتحقيق أقصى تأثير سياسي. ومع استعداد بوتين لمحادثات حاسمة مع ترامب، تخدم هذه الضربات أهدافًا عسكرية وإعلامية معًا. فمن خلال إظهار القدرة على استهداف منشآت حساسة في الصناعة الدفاعية، تُظهر أوكرانيا هشاشة روسيا على الرغم من تفوقها في الدفاعات الجوية. ويستهدف الهجوم على مصنع “مونوكريستال” تحديدًا حلقة حاسمة في سلسلة التوريد العسكرية الروسية، إذ يُعد الياقوت الصناعي ضروريًا للذخائر الموجهة بدقة التي تُنتجها موسكو بكميات كبيرة لجهودها الحربية.

it seems probable until you consider that threatening to assassinate putin is probably the most severe thing the us can do. if they just do it, then russia will have no reason not to break every ‘red line’ the us sets out, such as against nukes in ukraine, or against assassinations of us officials by russia in turn

anyway, but why they did not lay anti-drone nets around their facilities? those slow moving machines cannot really do much if came into a metallic net. they are not cruise missiles.
sounds like a good idea for the top 50% strategic infrastructure no matter how far from the borders they are. you could have some punks from within the country launching rc aircraft. nets and fencing on a massive scale. and blimp networks with rf and acoustic sensors all around the borderlands.
anti-drone nets don’t combat high-altitude or long-range drones, and inside their own territory, russia can simply use security measures and exclusion zones to prevent fpv drone teams getting close
russia is so large that the only effective method is exclusion zones, that have the defenses inside those, for critical areas. it has to be assumed that those locations themselves will be reached so the defenses have to be established around them
