Both Russian and Ukrainian military observers are sharing footage of military operations, shot from a first-person perspective that allows for the best possible understanding of what is happening on the battlefield. It is not uncommon for footage to be published from cameras found on defeated enemies.
A series of recently shared videos shows Russian assault operations on different frontlines. It confirms that the attacking Russian soldiers first persuade the enemy to surrender, more than once offering to lay down their weapons promising to spare their lives. Having received no response from the Ukrainians defenders, the attackers are forced to open fire:

During one of their combat missions, Russian group had a slightly wounded soldiers who was evacuated from the combat zone. The evacuation team passed about eight kilometers to reach the wounded, during their way back they were targeted by enemy drone, mortar fire and cluster munitions, but completed their mission successfully:
Ukrainian military sources shared video of a mercenary from Lithuania, who was heavily wounded and paralyzed during his last combat mission in the Donbass:
Another Ukrainian soldier was likely sent to recapture the previously lost position, but was killed during the operation. Immediately after he declared through his radio that he reached a point, he got shot:

the unit commander is armed with a western made assault rifle (m14?). is it a personal preference to use or a way of confusing enemy combatants (seeing how german and russian scouts of ww2 would use their opponents weapons to sow confusion)
