Turkey’s state-of-the-art Anka-3 jet-powered stealth combat drone crashed on June 25 while taking part in a military exercise.
In a statement, the manufacturer, Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI), said that the drone made “a controlled emergency landing” during a test flight conducted as part of the International Anatolian Eagle 2025 Exercise.
“There was no loss of life or property, and no one was injured,” TAI said. “Flight safety protocols were activated promptly. Our technical teams have initiated fieldwork and begun investigating all aspects and causes of the incident.”
The Governor’s Office of Turkey’s central Konya province also confirmed the incident in a separate statement, noting that the drone “landed” in an uninhabited area.
“On June 25, 2025, during the International Anatolian Eagle 2025 Exercise, an Anka-3 drone made a controlled emergency landing in an empty field within the borders of Selcuklu district,” the statement read. “All necessary precautions have been taken by our relevant units, and the technical investigation is ongoing. Respectfully announced to the public.”
While TAI described what happened as “a controlled emergency landing,” footage from the scene of the incident in Konya indicates that the drone, which features a flying-wing design, impacted the ground with enough force to blow away both of its wings.
The Anka-3, unveiled around two years ago, was developed by TAI to carry out deep pinpoint strikes as well as suppression and destruction of enemy air defenses missions.
The drone has a maximum takeoff weight of 6.5 tones, a wingspan of eight meters and is reported to be capable of carrying up to 1,300 kg of various guided munitions. It is said to have a max speed of 830 kilometers per hour, a service ceiling of 12,000 meters and an endurance of over ten hours.
The design of the Anka-3 can be compared to that of the United States Northrop Grumman X-47B, Russia’s Sukhoi S-70 Okhotnik-B and China’s Hongdu GJ-11.
While Turkey is one the world’s key developers and manufacturers of drones, TAI will not likely complete the development of the Anka-3 for years to come as stealth technology poses a set of very complicated challenges.

baykar, tai, rokestan and aselsan better get to work because turkey is next on israel’s menu. the best antidote to the airstrike mafia is anti air defense and isr
no they’re not. turkey is a nato member and basically a friend and ally of israel. they’ve helped them destabilize and take over syria so israel can launch attacks from syrian soil against iran. non of this is accidental.
you’re right. the people are against israel, but israel has the gouvernement in his hands. so they will (just like any nato slave-nation) be forced to attack whoever israel want to and die whenever it want. as long as they follow the money and bargain their identity, they keep slaves.
erdoğan talks tough about israel to win elections. he can force israel to its knees by simply closing the baku-tiblisi-ceyhan pipeline, but he doesn’t.
turkey is a jewish owned nation like every other sunni state. erdogan is a donmeh jew.
i remember turkey working on a project to build a warplane with the british. i forget the model. but never trust british backstabbers in any project. they will reveal its signatures and sensitivities to turkey’s enemies. rule # 1 – never work with british, israel or ussa on any military project
this happens to all model airplane users. remote-controlled airplanes are simply not reliable.
good , the earth does not need such things . they do not protect people ,
