In a striking display of deepening cooperation, North Korea has agreed to dispatch 1,000 sappers and 5,000 military construction personnel to Russia’s Kursk region to assist with demining and postwar reconstruction. The decision was finalized during high-level talks between Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Pyongyang on June 17.
The first wave of support will consist of 1,000 North Korean sappers, who will undergo specialized training in Russian demining techniques before deploying to Kursk. Equipped with modern detection tools, they will work alongside Russian forces to mop up unexploded ordnance and restore safe access to war-damaged areas.
Following demining operations, a 5,000-strong North Korean military construction division, consisting of two brigades, will arrive to rebuild homes, roads, and critical facilities. The move signals Pyongyang’s willingness to take an active role in Russia’s postwar recovery efforts, likely in exchange for continued arms and economic support.
In a symbolic gesture, Russia plans to erect a monument commemorating North Korean soldiers’ contributions in Kursk. While the exact location remains undecided, earlier discussions suggested the town of Sudzha as a potential site. President Vladimir Putin has reportedly endorsed the initiative. The mirroring decision was made in Pyongyang.
Shoigu’s second visit to North Korea in a month underscores the rapidly growing partnership between Moscow and Pyongyang. The two nations have increasingly collaborated on military supplies, with North Korea already providing artillery shells and systems for Russia’s military. After Korean fighters took part in the liberation of the border Kursk region, Pyongyang is extending boots-on-the-ground support, further cementing the alliance.
For now, the focus remains on Kursk, where North Korean labor could accelerate reconstruction while freeing up Russian troops for frontline duties. But as this partnership deepens, the West will be watching closely, wary of a burgeoning axis that challenges Western influence in both Europe and Asia.
that’s what i call real loyalty something sadly lacking in this world.

russia should have singed the same defence treaty with iran and they would still be a nation today with out z10n1st aggression.
there is a treaty , and assistance agreements . what will become of this ?
rest assured, if the jooz or the jewsa nuke iran, russia will certainly make a very strong speech about it at the un and call for restraint.
its sarcasm but i understand why you posted it .
not an agreement to send troops to help each other like russia has with nk. only wont help each others enemies – it takes two parties to agree in a pact .
north korea is not going to be invaded nor is china in the near future, they both have large ground forces, it would be in their interest to send ground troops to help russia because if russia were to lose, they will eventually be under attack and taken piecemeal.
yet the plan to control them is still in motion
not at all. it is of no interest of anyone to help with vladolfs nazism. russia is chinas gas pump station only. now vladolf have destroyed whatever little minuscule chance russia had to anything productive and ruined russia for centuries. the sooner russia weakens, the sooner china will take back what they want from russia
brilliant! love to both north korea and russia! <3
love to the ghey couple 🌈 you mean
good , north korea can do what they want . just like when nato hires murder tourists . will china join ?
nk should send a couple of dozen to iran with a couple of nukes.
but would russia actually help them if nk was attacked….
už dávno tam mali byť!!! ale lepšie ako neskoro!!! mysleniu zdar a svetu mier!!!
honduras to send us thousands more drug dealers so we can tolerate ugly burgerland

vladolf receives help from boyfriend kimjong. and when israel strikes krimlin can’t help allied iran. what a fucking joke nation. hehehe 😂
