The National Guard of Russia, officially known as Rosgvardiya, announced on June 6 that it had foiled a “terrorist attack” at one of the military facilities in the Ryazan region.
The suspect, who was preparing the attack using FPV suicide drones, was spotted using surveillance equipment. When detained, he offered armed resistance and was neutralized. A traumatic pistol converted to fire live ammunition was found on him.
At the site of the incident, the OMON special military police refused two drones armed with RKG-3 hand grenades and equipped with a remote control system.
The RKG-3 is an anti-tank grenade that weighs little over 1 kg and can penetrate 220 mm of rolled homogeneous armor. The attacker likely planned to hit military equipment.

Overnight, Ukraine attacked Ryazan and a dozen other Russian regions with drones and missiles. Russian air defenses shot down some 174 fixed-wing suicide drones and three Neptune-MD land-attack cruise missiles, according to the Ministry of Defense.
One of the drones that attacked Ryzan overnight was reportedly shot down near the air base of the Russian strategic aviation in Dyagilevo. A residential building was damaged by falling debris, but no other losses or any casualties were reported.
At the start of the week, a sabotage attack with FPV suicide drones claimed by the Ukrainian intelligence targeted multiple bases in Russia hosting nuclear-capable strategic bombers, including Dyagilevo.
The attack foiled by Rosgvardiya in Ryzan carries all the hallmarks of Ukrainian intelligence and its partners. The Kiev regime apparently views such acts as a war to make up for the territories and troops it is losing on a daily basis as result of the Russian special military operation. Most of such acts are to be expected.
