Russian IL-76 Crashed While Putting Out Blaze in Siberia

Today, at 6:30 am Moscow time, Russian IL-76 has crashed while putting out forest fire in Irkutsk, Siberia, RIA Novosty reported. According to different sources, 9 or 10 were the people on board the plane. 8 aircraft have been sent to search for the plane and a special operation brigade has been sent from Moscow. Around 100 will probably be parachuted in the area of the plane crash.

The IL-76 is the largest firefighting aircraft in the world, capable of carrying up to 42 tons of water at a time.
