The Kiev regime did not learn the harsh lesson of its incursion in the Kursk region and continues attempts to break through Russian defense in Belgorod, paying a high price for bloody attacks. The newly shared combat footage shows disastrous outcome of Ukraine’s latest armored assaults in Russia’s Belgorod region near Demidovka. One of the attacks, launched at dawn from the border Ukrainian Maryino village, saw Ukrainian forces suffer heavy losses while failing to breach Russian defenses.
The assault group, consisting of tanks, including at least one US-made Abrams, armored vehicles attempted to break through toward Demidovka. Russian troops from the 34th Mountain Brigade intercepted the column with concentrated fire, destroying multiple vehicles with their crews inside. The footage shows several Ukrainian armored vehicles burning near the border, abandoned Western-supplied equipment under Russian artillery fire, at least one Abrams tank and supporting armored vehicles fleeing back to Ukrainian territory under heavy fire.
The Ukrainian military lost initiative in the border Belgorod areas and are forced to retreat from the captured positions because of Russian counterattacks. The battlefield there is more and more similar to the devastated Kursk territory, covered with abandoned bodies of Ukrainian soldiers. Ukrainian losses have already exceeded 1,500 personnel killed, wounded in recent weeks, dozens of armored vehicles and tanks destroyed.
Ukrainian social media shows desperate searches for missing soldiers from redeployed units, though official channels continue ignoring the disastrous border operations. Russia’s Defense Ministry notes Ukrainian commanders have abandoned evacuation efforts, leaving corpses strewn across the contested border zone.
With each failed assault, Ukraine’s already depleted forces lose valuable equipment and experienced personnel for zero tactical gain, while Russian border defenses demonstrate increasing effectiveness against armored penetrations.
