Houthis Warn U.S. Against Conducting Ground Operations In Yemen

Houthis Warn U.S. Against Conducting Ground Operations In Yemen

A senior official of the Houthis (Ansar Allah) warned on April 13 that the group will respond to “ground aggression” against Yemen with fierce resistance and turn the country into “hell” for the “aggressors.”

“The enemy’s options in Yemen have failed. Neither bombing nor American aggression will stop supporting Gaza,” wrote Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, a member of the Yemeni Supreme Political Council, in a post on the X social network.

Al-Houthi went on to stress that “no ground military operation will succeed. It will face hell and the power of the righteous.”

He also pointed out that it would be mistaken to test the already tested Yemenis, referring to the failure of the Saudi-led Arab coalition’s operation against the Houthis.

“America must know that its continued aggression is a continuation of the erosion of deterrence and exhaustion, and it will lose any future battle,” he added.

The U.S. military resumed strikes against Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen on March 15 on orders from President Donald Trump, who said that the large-scale operation was launched in response to the group’s renewed attacks on shipping in the Red Sea. Since then, around 90 people, including commanders of the Houthis and civilians, have been killed.

Overnight, another wave of U.S. strikes hit Yemen. According to the Houthi-linked al-Masirah TV, five strikes targeted a vocational training institute in al-Sawma’ah district in the central province of al-Bayda, three struck the al-Sahlin area in al-Salem district of the northern province of Saada, and two others hit al-Munirah district in the western province of al-Hodeidah.

So far, the U.S. has reportedly spent over a billion dollars on the operation in Yemen. However, the Houthis remain undeterred. The group continues to launch attacks against Israel and the Red Sea remains for the most part closed for commercial shipping.

This failure led to speculation of more escalation by the Trump administration against the Houthis, possibly including ground operations in Yemen.

While the U.S. would lead such operations, the forces on the ground would be mostly made up of local armed factions loyal to the internationally recognized Yemeni government and backed by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. This would reignite the war in Yemen, but that’s a risk Trump may be willing to take.

The Houthis have been preparing for a ground confrontation with the U.S. and its allies in Yemen since it began launching attacks in support of the Gaza Strip more than a year ago.

“the internationally recognised yemeni government.” this is a saudi puppet ensconced in a luxury hotel in shady wahabia. he did win an election (great achievement, he was the only candidate allowed.) his period in office ended, and he resigned, not once but twice. then he left the country years ago. but he is still the “recognised president”, like gweedo in venezuela, like tikhanovskaya in belarus.

Crimea is 100% Liberated

not just any puppet, a saudi backed dictator, a corrupt unpopular one that was and is collaborating with al qaeda.

they’ll use the idiots in the us military for most of the ground fighting with constant air support. they’ll try to push in further and further to sana while the gulf arab proxies try to push in from another direction. the houthi will need more and better anti-tank missiles and drones.
