According to preliminary reports from the battlefield, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation took control of Sudzha, which was the main Ukrainian stronghold in the Russian border Kursk region. The mop up operations are ongoing and the town is mainly in the grey zone. The footage confirms clashes in the outkirts and the chaotic retreat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from positions in the central part of the city.
On March 11th, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation officially confirmed the full control of 12 more settlements located on the outskirts of Sudzha. They included:
- Agronom
- Bogdanovka
- Bondarevka
- Dmitryukov
- Zazulevka
- Ivashkovsky
- Kolmakov
- Kubatkin
- Martynovka
- Mikhailovka
- Pravda
- Yuzhny.
In total, more than 100 square kilometers have come back under Russian control in recent days of offensive. The total area controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine has decreased by 5-6 times since the beginning of the fighting in September last year.
The pace of Russian advance remains very high. Reports from the frontlines claimed Russian control of the village of Zamostie located on the southern outskirts. The flanks of the Ukrainian defense are falling.
Russian flags in Zamostie and Dmitryukov:
Russian forces completed the mop up operations in the industrial zone on the eastern outskirts of Sudzha. Moreover, according to preliminary reports, the town of Sudzha in its administrative borders was already liberated by the Russian military. The newly shared footage from the town shows Ukrainian soldiers retreating from the streets and outskirts of the town under Russian fire. Ukrainian forces are fleeing, but the mop up operations on the streets are likely to take some time before the full control of the town is secured.
Some Ukrainian units surrender, others are destroyed:
Ukrainian losses on the road to Sudzha:
The remaining Ukrainian forces are fleeing across the Oleshnya River and local lakes in an attempt to gain some time and hold defense in the village of Goncharovka located on the western outskirts of Sudzha.
At the same time, battles reportedly continue in Zaoleshenka on the northern outskirts of the town.
The scattered units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine abandoned in the cauldron in Sudzha are doomed to defeat. After the military command attempted to withdraw the most combat ready units from the Russian territory, Zelensky reportedly asked to hold defense in Sudzha for at least week or two, until there are any results of the ongoing negotiation process. However, the forcibly mobilized and poorly trained Ukrainian men, who were thrown into senseless battles as cannon fodder and than used as a human shield for their retreating comrades, are not ready to resist in their doomed positions.
The explosion at the saltpeter production plant in the Sudzha district after the strike of the Russian upgraded FAB–3000 heavy bomb:
Civilians welcome Russian soldiers in the liberated villages:
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation may repel the enemy from the Russian territory in the coming days. The Russian troops also have means to continue their offensive on a wide front in the Ukrainian Sumy region.
The destruction of Ukrainian foothold on the Russian soil is a nother strategic defeat of the Kiev regime, which has no trump cards left to play at the negotiation table; and no provocations like drone strikes in Moscow can no longer dust eyes of the decision makers.
good news!
and now not to stop and subsequently to clear the entire sumy region from bandera nazis.
better still, clear all of ukraine. push the banderites into poland, it’s what the poles deserve.
question is which percentage of the people have been educated and transformed into banderites in the last decade west of the donbas. do you want to hold territories where 50- 80% will try to use any chance to kill you?
russia only wants its legitimate territories that consist of russian speakers and russian ethnicity, including donbas returned. half-wit apes west of these territories can either relocate (as many did early on) or join the eu in slow purgatory. the type of thinking you describe is ‘western’ and not slavic thinking.
it is heartbreaking to see these old women crying for the horrors they witnessed by the ucrainian racist nazis.
a few of them for a second time.
… and don’t forget the foreign racist nazi mercs.
and the western propaganda was keeping the attack to the kursk as a good thing. it was a civilian area!!! ukrainian mercenaries killed civils like as cattle! hundreds of videos prooving!
those soldiers surrendering i think its the biggest surrender of the war. just keep em coming promise amnesty for those who were caught on the street and forced to the front if they surrender and enjoy how fast the afu army will collapse.
the banderites will probably be easily picked out by their nazi and bandera tattoos and if not then its probably possible to see when they were mobilized.
the officers and the privates, jail them together and let them talk…
typical british plan. gallipoli, a slaughter to divert turkish troops.
kursk, to divert russian troops, another slaughter.
but of course it failed, russia has the numbers.
pompous poms
brutta botta caccia oreshnik, attenzione trattative vi hanno sempre fregato, odessa.
but kuuuuuurskk….
where are the idiot commentators now ?
nowhere to be seen, of course.
how many mercenaries among these prisoners, huh? remembering that filthy englishman who was sentenced to 19 years in prison, unfortunately i think the end of the caught worms will not be as deserved as it should be. although two decades in siberia eating shit is already something.
bravo! era de asteptat.
