The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue devastating strikes on Ukrainian rear infrastructure every night. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation claimed that Russian forces launched 11 group strikes with high-precision long-range air, land and sea-based weapons, unmanned aerial vehicles from February 15 to February 21. The strikes targeted Ukrainian gas, energy and port infrastructure facilities, as well as energy substations that ensure the operation of the military-industrial complex across the country.
On the night of February 21, Ukraine came under another attack. According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in total, 160 UAVs and two ballistic missiles were launched. The almighty Ukrainian air defense allegedly shot down 87 drones, 70 others miraculously disappeared and missed their targets. Thus, according to the Ukrainian military, only three Russian drones and two Iskander-M missiles allegedly struck their targets. Russian strikes were confirmed in the Odessa, Kiev, Poltava and Kharkiv regions.
However, the official reports of the Ukrainian military rarely correspond to reality. Independent monitoring sources recorded Russian strikes in:
- Sumy
- Kherson
- Kharkiv
- Kherson
- Zaporozhie
- Poltava
- Kiev
- Cherkassy
- Krivy Rih in the Dnepropetrovsk region.
Night strikes inflicted heavy damage to the energy, logistics and military infrastructure across the country.

The southern Odessa region came under the fourth attack in a row. Last night, Russian Iskander missiles struck the bridge across the Dniester estuary in the town of Zatoka. As a result of the strikes, the bridge was heavily damaged. This is far from the first Russian attacks on this strategically important bridge used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and NATO for military supplies from Romania.
Geran kamikaze UAVs struck the Grandterminal oil depot and the Karlovka-330 energy station in the town of Karlovka in the Poltava region. A large fire destroyed depots with aviation kerosene and fuel oil. The local fuel transfer system and major pipeline were also destroyed.

A large logistics hub of the Armed Forces of Ukraine came under attack in the village of Zolotonosha in the Cherkassy region. Russian strikes heavily damaged the railway and destroyed hangars with military and repair equipment for NATO tanks and armored vehicles.
The constant Russian strikes have already depleted Ukrainian air defense despite the ongoing supplies of additional air defense systems from NATO. Zelensky himself is crying that NATO military supplies are not enough. Judging by the scale of the damage that Ukraine suffers in daily attacks, the long-awaited F-16 fighters that are mainly used to reinforce Ukrainian air defense do not help Ukrainians to protect their strategic facilities.
