A Bayraktar Akıncı drone was shot down on the morning of January 29 in a remote area located 15 kilometers west of the Al-Ajilat region in northwestern Libya.
This drone is one of Turkey’s most advanced unmanned aerial vehicles, notable for its enhanced capabilities and technology, which includes autonomous flight and advanced surveillance systems.
Recently, the Bayraktar Akıncı was integrated into the arsenal of the Libyan Government of National Accord (GNA) forces as part of Turkey’s support in the ongoing conflict.
The circumstances surrounding the drone’s downing remain unclear; however, eyewitness reports of smoke rising in the sky indicate it may have been struck by a missile launched by the Libyan National Army (LNA) forces, under the command of General Khalifa Haftar.
This incident comes amid the backdrop of a protracted civil war in Libya, during which numerous Bayraktar TB2 drones have been lost, showcasing the high stakes and volatility of aerial operations in the region.
Importantly, the loss of the Akıncı drone is particularly significant, as it marks the first documented instance of this type of wide-body drone being downed in Libya. This event could have implications for the balance of power in the conflict, potentially affecting both tactical air strategies and the broader military dynamics between the GNA and LNA forces.

how turkish weapons are flying over libya is a question that highlights the level of dystopia we live in. the libyan people are victims of holocaust.
