The night of January 17th was marked by another wave of Russian strikes on targets throughout Ukraine. Explosions thundered across the country, including in the Kiev region.
A series of Russian strikes were reported in the southern Odessa region, including in the areas of the ports on the Danube River. After a short pause, the Russian military resumed strikes on the port infrastructure in the city used for military supplies from NATO. According to Ukrainian monitoring sources, at least a dozen Russian UAVs approached the region from the southern direction in the morning.
At night, explosions thundered both in the areas of the local port and airfield in the city of Odessa.
More waves of Russian strikes reportedly targeted Ukrainian ports of Kilia and Ismail located on the bank of the Danube River. There is a large ferry crossing near the border with Romania, through which NATO supplies weapons and ammunition, as well as mercenaries and military personnel to Ukraine. According to local reports, Romanian air defense attempted to intercept Russian drones from the Romanian territory.
The Black Sea port of Chernomorsk (also known as Ilyichevsk) also reportedly came under attack.
Explosions thundered in the area of Zatoka. This village is located on the western outskirts of Odessa. This settlement is often targeted by Russian strikes because there is the strategically important road used for transfer of weapons and military equipment from NATO.

Military targets were struck in the Zhitomir, Vinnitsa, Khmelnitsk regions. Numerous explosions thundered in the border cities of Sumy and Chernihiv. Russian strikes were reported near the town of Nezhin, on the outskirts of which there is a military airfield of the Air Force of Ukraine.
