The night of January 17th was marked by another wave of Russian strikes on targets throughout Ukraine. Explosions thundered across the country, including in the Kiev region.
A series of Russian strikes were reported in the southern Odessa region, including in the areas of the ports on the Danube River. After a short pause, the Russian military resumed strikes on the port infrastructure in the city used for military supplies from NATO. According to Ukrainian monitoring sources, at least a dozen Russian UAVs approached the region from the southern direction in the morning.
At night, explosions thundered both in the areas of the local port and airfield in the city of Odessa.
More waves of Russian strikes reportedly targeted Ukrainian ports of Kilia and Ismail located on the bank of the Danube River. There is a large ferry crossing near the border with Romania, through which NATO supplies weapons and ammunition, as well as mercenaries and military personnel to Ukraine. According to local reports, Romanian air defense attempted to intercept Russian drones from the Romanian territory.
The Black Sea port of Chernomorsk (also known as Ilyichevsk) also reportedly came under attack.
Explosions thundered in the area of Zatoka. This village is located on the western outskirts of Odessa. This settlement is often targeted by Russian strikes because there is the strategically important road used for transfer of weapons and military equipment from NATO.
A series of explosions thundered in the capital and on its outskirts. In particular, they were reported in the Obukhiv district. The local mayor confirmed Russian strikes. According to the Ukrainian media, Russian decoy UAVs were again spotted flying over the city. The British media complained that at least one of Russian drones was flying near the place where Zelensky was meeting with Keir Starmer, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. The launch of decoy UAVs could be a provocation of the Russian military aimed at sending a clear sign to the Western warmongers. On the other hand, such reports could be another media campaign of the Kiev regime aimed at persuading its Western patrons to increase their support and continue escalating the conflict. When any Western leader comes to the Ukrainian capital, there are always sirens and fake Russian attacks. Photographs from Ukrainian shelters are favorite souvenirs of the ‘brave’ Western politicians.
More Ukrainian regions came under Russian attacks. At night Russian drones again pounded the industrial zone in the city of Kharkiv. Military targets were struck in the Zhitomir, Vinnitsa, Khmelnitsk regions. Numerous explosions thundered in the border cities of Sumy and Chernihiv. Russian strikes were reported near the town of Nezhin, on the outskirts of which there is a military airfield of the Air Force of Ukraine.
zelenskyy micromanaging is yielding its unpleasant results. sending highly specialized air force, air defense, radar & other electronic experts to plug gaps in his public relations kursk offensive, while trying to keep luhansk & donetzk fortress towns from collapsing is now biting ukraine in the arse. scores of shahed-geran 50cent dorito drones are now hitting targets as they please, even all the way to vital supply routes on the danube.

attritional victory has thoroughly humiliated us—1. russia rubs our stupidity in our face daily 2. we compound our humiliation by wasting $ and telling lies 3. our slower defeat permits russia to annex more territory develop alliances brics etc 4. the revelations that russia is more innovative productive unified despite our sanctions is spectacularly humiliating
