Residents of the Kazakh city of Satpayev filmed the launch of the Russian Oreshnik missile from the Kapustin Yar test site located in Astrakhan Oblast near the border. The missile struck the Yuzhmash plant in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro (Dnepropetrovsk) on November 21, 2024. One of the videos presumably shows the missile switching to hypersound. LINK, LINK

no, sorry, that “switching” is just the switching between the first and second stage. since the missile is principally capable of reaching orbital velocity with the second stage, it’s correct that the second stage will eventually reach “hypersound” velocity. maybe you should lower your expectations from viewing space balls. cinema films, especially parodies, are not reality. you do not “switch to” ludicrous speed.
satpayev is in kazahkstan which is east of kapustin yar, but dnepropetrovsk is west of kapustin yar. this rocket is a soyuz, launching the progress ms-29 cargo ship to the iss.
unlike mr poots and his bureaucratic image , this video clip looks beyond ominous. not funny this deal.
