Hezbollah announced on September 7 that it launched several barrages of rockets at two key bases of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) in response to recent violent strikes on southern Lebanon as well as in support of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
The first base is located on top of Mount Neria and is currently hosting troops from the IDF’s elite 1st “Golani” Brigade while the second is located near the settlement of Mishar and hosts a headquarters of the military intelligence, the group said in two separate statements.
In other statements, Hezbollah said that its fighters shelled the sites of Hadb Yaroun and al-Rahib with artillery, struck surveillance equipment in the Misgav Am site with “suitable weapons” and fired rockets at a gathering of Israeli troops near the settlement of Manot.
The IDF confirmed that over 30 rockets were fired from Lebanon at Israel. Material losses and fires were reported by Hebrew media in the settlements of Shlomi, Matat and Liman. There were no reports of any casualties however.
In response to the attack, the IDF said that it struck two multiple rocket launchers and infrastructure of Hezbollah in the southern Lebanese towns of Yater and Qabrikha. Video footage of the strikes were released. No losses were reported by Lebanese media.
Hezbollah and its allies began launching near-daily attacks against the IDF in support of the Palestinian armed factions in Gaza after the outbreak of the Israeli war on the Strip last October.
So far, the border clashes have resulted in 26 civilian deaths in Israel and the occupied Golan as well as the deaths of at least 20 soldiers and security officers. On the Lebanese side, more than 870 people have been killed, including 433 fighters of Hezbollah and over 150 civilians.

shlomo go homo?
why do the zionists call women and children, innocent civilians and hospitals “rocket launchers”
thanks to uncle joseph burden.
“violent strikes on southern lebanon” – obviously by air, some would think that a good riposte would be to attack the airfields those planes fly from.
