The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on July 11 that its forces had destroyed two uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAV) and an uncrewed surface vessel (USV) which were launched by the Houthis (Ansar Allah) from Yemen in the Red Sea over the past day.

“It was determined the UAVs and USV presented an imminent threat to U.S., coalition forces, and merchant vessels in the region,” the command said in a statement. “These actions were taken to protect freedom of navigation and make international waters safer and more secure.”

Separately, there were reports of a suspected attack by the Houthis against a Liberian-flagged tanker in the narrow Bab al-Mandab Strait.

The Joint Maritime Information Center (JMIC), which is overseen by the U.S. Navy, identified the Liberian-flagged tanker as the Mount Fuji.

The attack occurred south of the Yemeni port of Mocha, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO), a detachment of the Royal Navy, said. The captain reported explosions off the vessel’s side, according to the center.

The “vessel and all crew are safe,” the UKMTO said in an advisory notice. “The vessel is proceeding to its next port of call.”

The Houthis have not yet acknowledged the attack reported by the JMIC and UKMTO, though it typically takes them a few days to issue a claim.

Since November, the Houthis, who are backed by Iran, have attacked dozens of vessels affiliated with Israel or owned by the U.S. and the UK in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, the Arabian Sea, the Indian Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea in response to the Israeli war and siege on the Palestinian enclave of the Gaza Strip.

In addition, the group launched dozens of drones and missiles at the southernmost Israeli city of Eilat and shot down six American-made combat drones over Yemen and nearby waters.

The U.S. and the UK have carried out hundreds of strikes against Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen since January in response to the group’s attack. The strikes killed some 40 people, including civilians, and wounded more than 126 others. Yet, they failed to deter the Houthis or even to degrade their military capabilities.

the west has lost sight of justice and fair-play in the racist and violent destruction of the women and children of gaza. .without any sort of justifiable reason the dementia ridden globalists have committed themselves to endless war.
