Russian air defenses foiled over the night of June 19 and 20 a Ukrainian attack with more than a dozen suicide drones that targeted at least six Russian regions, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced.
In a statement, the ministry said that six drones were successfully shot down over the Adygea region, three over the Bryansk region, three over the Krasnodar region, one over the Rostov region, one over the Belgorod region and another over the Oryol region.
Still some material losses were reported. Murat Kumpilov, head of Adygea, claimed that the drone attack started a fire at an oil depot in the settlement of Enyem.
“This night, a fire broke out at an oil depot in the settlement of Enem after a drone attack. At 6:00 a.m. Moscow time , the fire on an area of 400 square meters was extinguished,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.
An oil tank also caught fire after an explosion on the territory of the Platonovskaya oil depot in the Tambov region, according to regional head Maksim Yegorov.
“The incident was allegedly caused by an unmanned aerial vehicle,” Yegorov said.
Russian Telegram channels shared videos showing the fires in Adygea and Tambov before they were extinguished. No casualties were reported, however.
The Kiev regime intensified drone attacks on Russian territory in the last few months in an apparent attempt to make up for the never ending failures of its forces on the battlefield. Recent Ukrainian attacks damaged civilian infrastructure in several Russian regions and left several civilians dead or wounded.
The Russian military resumed large-scale group strikes against military infrastructure and affiliated power facilities in Ukraine last March in response to these attacks. In addition, a limited ground operation was launched in the Kharkiv region in May.
Early on June 20 there were reports of Russian retaliatory strikes against Ukraine. However, the MoD is yet to provide any details.

funny russia says they foil all the ukraine drone attacks, yet they have lost many ships, planes and depots from these drone attacks.
russia has suffered serious losses despite their advances and successes. probably why they are threatening with nukes, because they know they cannot continue in another afghanastan.
they better act before it’s too late.
thanks to these attack vs oil depot and refineries..petrol barrel is about 85$…otherwise the brent barrel would be 60$…therefore russian oligarchs earn money and dont protect their refineries.
