Kiev Forces Launch Another Wave Of Rocket, Drone Attacks On Russian Territory (Photos)South Front

Kiev forces launched overnight yet another wave of rocket and drone attacks on Belgorod and two other Russian regions.

The attacks began late on May 21. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported the interception of a single drone over the Bryansk region.

Early on May 22, the ministry said that three more drones were shot down over Belgorod and another was intercepted over the Kaluga region. Later in the morning, at least six Grad rockets were intercepted over Belgorod, according to the ministry. Photos of the successful interception were posted to social media.

No losses were reported in Bryansk and Kaluga. However, Belgorod governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said that a train was hit by a drone in the region.

“This morning, a train running without passengers was attacked by an UAV [unmanned aerial vehicle] on the Belgorod-Naumovka rail track. There are no casualties but the railway track and a power grid have been damaged,” the governor said on his Telegram channel.

Suburban train traffic from the Tolokonnoye station in the settlement of Oktyabrsky to the Naumovka station has been suspended until technical faults are removed, the governor added.

Ukraine intensified rocket and drone attacks on Belgorod and several other Russian regions in recent months. The main aim of these repeated Ukrainian attacks is apparently to make up for the never ending failures of Kiev forces on the battlefield.

In response to these attacks, the Russian military resumed large-scale group strikes against military and energy infrastructure in Ukraine last March. Furthermore, the Russian military launched earlier this month a limited ground operation in the Kharkiv region, the source of most recent attacks on Belgorode.

“ukraine” doesn’t do anything. these attacks are an aspect of the failing us tactic of trying to destabilize russia internally in the hopes of a colour revolution and balkanization along ethno-religious lines, to maintain the us imperial presence in eurasia. so far, it’s working as well as their return to the moon program.
