Russian air defenses intercepted eight Ukrainian drones over the Belgorod region and the Black Sea, according to the Russian Ministry of Defenses.
Late on February 24, a single drone was shot down over Belgorod, according to a statement by the ministry. There were no reports of casualties or material damage.
In another statement released early on February 25, the ministry said that six more drones were intercepted. Two of the drones were shot down over Belgorod and the remaining four over the Black Sea. Again, no losses were reported by the ministry.
Later in the morning, yet another drone was shot down over Belgorod, the ministry announced in a statement, without reporting any losses.
Ukraine stepped up attacks on Russian territory after losing the strategic city of Avdeevka in the Donetsk region earlier this month. These attacks rarely succeed due to the high readiness of Russian air defenses and when they do, they often cause damage to civilian properties and infrastructure.
The Kiev regime apparently sees attacks on Russian territory as a way to make up for its never ending failures on the battlefields.
The Russian military usually responds to Ukrainian attacks by launching large-scale missile and drone strikes against high-value targets of Kiev forces.

at one point i thought it might be sufficient to merely hold the line against the uaf, but clearly these sources of drone attacks from the uaf need to be stopped for good.
