The Islamic Resistance in Iraq (IRI) announced on January 21 that it attacked a military target in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights a day earlier.
The Israeli military target was struck with a suicide drone, the group, which is made up of several Iranian-backed armed factions, said in a statement, adding that attack was carried out in support of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and as a response to Israeli crimes against them, the group noted.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) didn’t announce any attack on the Golan Heights on January 20, neither did Hebrew media.
Nevertheless, sirens were sounded in the Galilee panhandle, right next to the occupied Syrian region, during the day and the IDF said in a statement after the warning that it had fired an interceptor following “a false identification.”
The IRI has launched several attacks against Israel since the war broke out in Gaza. Just a few days ago, the group announced that it had attacked a “vital target” in central Israel using a long-range land-attack cruise missile. Israel didn’t acknowledge the attack however.
In addition to the direct attacks on Israel, the IRI has so far launched more than 140 attacks against U.S. forces in Iraq and neighboring Syria in order to pressure Washington to end support for the war on Gaza.
The U.S. responded by targeting some of the IRI’s factions in both Iraq and Syria. Israel didn’t announce any retaliatory attacks. However, it was unofficially blamed for several recent strikes which targeted the Iraqi-Syrian border and were not claimed by the U.S. military.
the united states makes another agression on syria. it is unauthorized act of war, just like against yemen
beautiful thank you my arab brothers.kill the killers of usa and britain.
hamas oct.7. operation has deal a humiliating and costly blow to israel. it now has to fight in the north, west, south while having to conduct strikes in yemen and syria. israel however will not be able to respond to attacks coming from iranian backed kata’ib hezbollah in iraq. if it does it will most likely cause the iraqi armed forces join the war like yemen and get the us kicked out of iraq in a heartbeat
bro i believe iran would have to invade iraq in order to kick out the us, or better yet have the pmu’s stage a coup. unless this is done, the zionists won’t leave iraq, nor syria.
