Every war is different from others. For  example, the recent conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh has become the finest hour of the Turkish Bayraktar drones in the service with the Azerbaijani military. However, their fame was ruined soon after they were deployed with Ukrainian forces and failed to resist Russian systems. On the other hand, the ongoing war in Ukraine revealed the effectiveness of small FPV drones that are used by both of the warring sides en masse. Another important technical feature of the war in Ukraine is the deployment of unmanned boats for targeted attacks in the Black Sea region.

While the Armed Forces of Ukraine were provided with unmanned boats and necessary technologies for their production by NATO, in particular by British military, it took some time for the Russian military to produce their own boats, which would be usefull for various operations in the Black Sea.

On November 27, the director of Russian LLC Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant declared that the Russian military will receive naval drones by the end of this year. The Russian Ministry of Defense will receive the first batch of 10 unmanned boats to test them in military operations in Ukraine. The manufacturer is currently negotiating with the military on serial deliveries of such naval drones, but the final decision will be made upon completion of the tests.

The first reports about the decision by the Russian military to purchase naval drones developed by the same company came in September 2023. The military was reportedly offered a series of universal naval drones created on a platform of the type “Vizir”. The unmanned boat is versatile and can be used to perform various tasks. It can pass up to 600 km at low speeds, and the speed of up to 80 km / h. It can pass 200 km with 600 kg of explosives. The manufacturer is already developing a kamikaze drone on its basis.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian military is looking for its naval drones lost during a heavy storm that hit the western waters of the Black Sea last night. Ukraine reportedly lost six drones. Three of them were reportedly during some operations in the Black Sea, the others were lost in the area of the port of Ochakov. According to some reports, they included a British one.

These boats loaded with explosive are now threatening the navigation in the area. They will sooner or later come ashore in an unpredictable area. Like Ukrainian naval mines did near the coast of Romania, some of them threatened navigation in the Bosphorus. In its turn, the Ukrainian military fears that the boats may fall into the Russian hands.

that’s what they say, but they know. they haven’t dared to say that in public. but the recent comment of the finnish president, in which he stated that “an equal dialogue with the east must be created. the west is used to being the one who says, but brics will overtake the west and the west will have to get used to being the one who is told”. and the full revelation of the us presidential candidate that ukraine is to blame for the conflict is starting to change things in the public eye.
