Yemen is launching a military operation against Israel, Yahya Saria, a representative of Yemeni Ansar Allah movement, claimed during his briefing on October 31. The military operation is aimed at supporting “the oppressed Palestinian people and their militant resistance.”
Ansar Allah clarified that the first strike on the enemy has already been launched. On the same day, the Yemeni Houthis claimed responsibility for launching attack UAVs on southern Israel. They promised to continue the attacks, confirming the launch of at least three waves of drones and ballistic missiles.
Earlier on October 31, the Israeli military said that it used the Hetz (Arrow3) air defense system to intercept a surface-to-surface missile launched toward the country from the “Red Sea region” for the first time since the escalation of the conflict.
The IDF stated that the Iron Dome anti-missile system intercepted a surface-to-surface missile over the Red Sea. Radio Kan reported that a drone launched from Yemen towards Israel had been shot down over the Red Sea.
Israeli media reported that the ballistic missile targeted the southern Israeli city of Eilat. For the first time in recent years, the resort town of Eilat has become a target for missiles. In addition, IDF fighter jets shot down two more air targets this morning, presumably drones, in the Red Sea area.
All threats were intercepted outside the territory of the State of Israel. There was no invasion of the country’s territory – the IDF said in a statement.
Earlier, on Friday, October 27, the IDF reported that Israeli Air Force fighters intercepted another air target over the Red Sea, apparently a drone launched towards the Jewish state by Yemen’s Houthi rebels. The incident occurred shortly after a drone crashed in the Egyptian Red Sea city of Taba, injuring six people. Taba is located on the border with Israel and about ten kilometers from Eilat.
In mid-October, Houthi leader warned that the group would launch drones and missiles if the US intervened directly in the war between Israel and Hamas. On October 19, a US destroyer in the Red Sea intercepted missiles and drones fired from Yemen.
if you bed-wetting euroweenies want to post then make sure your english grammer is correct. the british empire is losing patience.
that must be just about the last thing it has left to lose.
i think he meant to say grammar but didnt quite have the skill set to pull off his put down.
lol, asks for correct grammar but then says grammer. nerd
wouldn’t it be more productive to put yemeni resources into winning their war with saudi arabia?
or did i somehow miss the end of that conflict?
i doubt yemen can even strike israel, they are simply too far away and with us ships on patrol their drones and missiles will just get shot down.
the conventional aspect of the conflict ended. saudi was unsuccessful even with nato backing — much like ukraine. this conflict exposed american imperial decadence. it made saudis pivot eastward and become neutral. souring of relations with america followed. rapprochement now hinges on saudi’s nuclear and aerospace aspirations.
israel has a military base on the dahlak archipelago, in the red sea, well within reach of yemen. already lost an officer there.
they’ve already won their war against saudi arabia.
jews must accept christ. repent.
they denied christ and accepted lucifer as their savior.
even mainstream “christians” don’t accept messiah and only pay lip service.
i think the houthis should be much more concerned over what the saudis might to to them.
right now they may have some kind of cease fire but the saudis are just one us paycheck
away of switching sides again.
and why would they be concerned? saudi military is a joke. trust me — they’re not scared. they were defeated already even though saudi invested trillions in military hardware in the past 25 years. they even employed nato satellite reconnaissance and even some western mercenaries. and still were unable to achieve geostrategic goals.
i would still be weary of israel. they could penetrate yemen with a nuclear tipped missile.
a low yield tactical nuke would send a message. i don’t think they have advanced air defenses to counter an f35 or stealth bomber
all the people who say that if russia uses a small tactical nuke in ukraine the west needs to nuke them of the world will then tell us why it is totaly different if isreal would do it to lebanon or so.
why would you announce this ???
because it helps the israeli narrative of being under existential threat, thereby justifying their genocidal actions.
