On the morning of October 23, the Israeli military warned Palestinian fighters that their ground operation is ‘almost inevitable’ if the militants of the Palestinian Hamas movement do not release all the hostages and lay down their arms.

The representative of the IDF, Jonathan Conricus, named the conditions for Hamas to avoid the Israeli intervention:

“If Hamas had come out of its hiding places, where it hides behind Israeli civilians, as they are doing now, would have returned our hostages, all 212 of them, and surrendered unconditionally, then the war would have ended. <…> If they don’t, we’ll probably have to go and do it (conduct a ground operation)”, said the representative of the IDF.

The IDF avoid explaining why the ground operation in the Gaza Strip was postponed despite the ongoing threatening speculation to “completely eliminate Hamas.”

The Hamas hostage list has grown to 222 people, the Israeli army reported. According to The Times of Israel citing the IDF spokesman, militants of Hamas are holding at least 212 people hostage. The day before, the Israeli military reported 210 prisoners. The IDF stressed that this number is not final. The military continues receiving data about the missing.

The number of hostages is constantly growing. On October 14, the IDF press service reported that Hamas militants were holding more than 120 civilians. On October 16, the agency clarified that at least 199 people were being held hostage. On October 19, this number increased to 203 people, including almost 30 children and 10-20 elderly people, the IDF said.

The war in Israel has been ongoing for more then two weeks. The Israeli authorities have repeatedly threatening Palestinian militants with the upcoming ground operation in the Gaza Strip. On October 19, the country’s Defense Minister said that such an order would be given soon to the military. Meanwhile, the MSM wrote that the US and the EU were putting pressure on Israel to delay the start of the military operation in order to gain time for negotiations with Hamas on the release of hostages. New York Times has recently reported that Washington had urgently offered Israel to postpone the operation after Hamas released two US citizens on October 20. According to the sources of NYT, the American authorities reportedly sought to continue negotiations with the movement on the release of other hostages.

Hamas reportedly expressed readiness to release all hostages among civilians within an hour if the Israeli army stops carrying out airstrikes on the Gaza Strip. In exchange for the release of Israeli soldiers, Hamas reportedly demanded the release of all Palestinians imprisoned in Israeli prisons.

Any ground operations or release of more hostages is yet to take place in the Gaza Strip, while the warring sides are exchanging strikes.

execute the female hostages one by one and post the videos online. i guarantee the israeli bombings will stop due to public pressure. then negotiate with whats left.

For love of shekels!

they must draw contrast with the jew. that would be the worst type of pr stunt and the world would condemn them and give shekelstan a justification for their genocide. it would make them isis basically. plus shekelstan is killing the hostages themselves with the relentless bombing

oh c’mon now … “kidnapped’ and “hostages” are such harsh terms.

think of it as … oh, what’s the jvdenrat term for it … ah yes … “administratively detained’.

or better yet, perhaps we should just unite behind fahclst amerika’s favorite little euphemism … “extraordinarily renditioned’.

after all, these cutesy little euphemisms can’t all be reserved for the zioterrorists, for fahclst amerika and it’s eu stooges, can they ?

i can understand why the idf is fearful of entering gaza. those ruined buildings will make tanks and supporting infantry sitting ducks in urban warfare. kinda ironic the two best armies with huge experience of urban warfare are still slogging it out in east europe. im surprised the israelis arent sending their recruiting sergeants to ukraine or phoning wagner.
