Another Wave Of Ukrainian Attacks Ends In Failure (Videos)

The Russian military has repelled yet another wave of attack by Kiev forces, according to the October 11 briefing by the Russian Ministry of Defenses.

In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian Zapad Group of Forces repelled ten counter-attacks by Ukraine’s 32nd, 115th mechanized and 10th Mountain Assault Brigade close to Ivanovka, Sinkovka and Makeyevka.

Up to 280 Ukrainian troops were killed or wounded in this direction, the ministry said, adding that one tank and two motor vehicles were destroyed. In addition, one American-made M777 towed howitzer, one Polish-made Krab self-propelled howitzer and one Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer were neutralized by counter-battery fire.

One ammunition depot of “foreign mercenaries” was also targeted and destroyed close to Volchansk, according to the ministry.

In the Krasny Liman direction, the Russian Tsentr Group of Forces repelled two attacks by the 67th Mechanised Brigade close to the Serebryanskoye forestry.

The group also launched strikes against gatherings of manpower and equipment from the 12th Azov Special Operations Brigade, 63rd Mechanised Brigade and 5th National Guard Brigade to the south of Kuzmino, Chervonaya Dibrova and Torskoye.

Ukrainian losses in this direction amounted to 65 troops and two pickup trucks, the ministry said. Kiev forces also lost five self-propelled howitzers, one French-made CAESAR, three Msta-S, one Akatsiya and one Gvozdika, as well as one D-30 towed howitzer and one Czech-made RM-70 Vampire multiple rocket launcher to Russian counter-battery fire.

In the Donetsk direction, the Russian Yug Group of Forces improved the tactical situation at the forward lines close to Avdeyevka. The group also targeted the reserves of the 31st Mechanised Brigade near Ocheretino.

Up to 90 Ukrainian troops were killed or wounded during the fighting, according to the ministry. Ten American-made MaxxPro mine-resistant ambush-protected vehicles were also destroyed.

Total Ukrainian losses in this direction over the past 24 hours amounted to 330 troops -killed or wounded- one tank, 11 armored personnel carriers, four armored fighting vehicles and three motor vehicles. Two Polish-made Krab self-propelled howitzers and one D-20 howitzer were also neutralized by counter-battery fire.

In addition, one ammunition depot of Ukraine’s 110th Mechanized Brigade was targeted and destroyed in the outskirts of Orlovka.

And in the South Donetsk direction, the Russian Vostok Group of Forces targeted several gatherings of the 72nd Mechanised Brigade and 128th Territorial Defence Brigade near Ugledar and Vodyanoye.

Kiev forces lost 155 Ukrainian troops and four motor vehicles in this direction. In addition, four self-propelled howitzers, one American-made M109, one Gvozdika and two Msta-S, as well as two towed howitzers, one American-made M777 and one British-made FH70, were destroyed by counter-battery fire.

In the Zaporozhye direction, two Ukrainian attacks were repelled by Russian forces to the northwest of Verbovoye. According to the ministry, 20 Ukrainian troops, one tank, two motor vehicles, one American-made M777 towed howitzer and one D-20 towed howitzer were neutralized during the fighting in this direction.

Meanwhile in the Kherson direction, Kiev forces lost 45 troops, 11 motor vehicles, one American-made M777 towed howitzer and one D-20 towed howitzer to Russian military fire. In addition, one American-made AN/TPQ-36 counter-battery warfare radar was destroyed near Pridneprovskoye.

The Russian MoD also provided the following details during its briefing:

Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles and Missile Troops and Artillery of the Russian Groups of Forces have engaged AFU manpower and hardware in 127 areas during the day.

One Su-25 fighter jet of the Ukrainian Air Force was destroyed at the Dolgintsevo airfield (Dnepropetrovsk region).

In addition, one ST-68U radar station for the detection, identification and tracking of aerial targets was destroyed close to Malovarvarovka (Nikolayev region).

Air defense systems have intercepted three JDAM guided bombs, seven HARM anti-radiation missiles and four American-made HIMARS MLRS projectiles during the day.

Moreover, 41 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down close to Romanovskoye, Ocheretovatoye, Ilchenkovo (Zaporozhye region), Vasilieyvka, Peschanovka (Kherson region), Paraskoveyevka, Kirillovka, Artyomovsk, Nikolayevka, Peski (Donetsk People’s Republic), Ploshchanka and Novodruzhesk (Lugansk People’s Republic).

In total, 488 airplanes and 250 helicopters, 7,709 unmanned aerial vehicles, 441 air defense missile systems, 12,496 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,162 combat vehicles equipped with MLRS, 6,723 field artillery guns and mortars, as well as 14,064 units of special military equipment have been destroyed during the special military operation.

In addition, Russian news sources shared videos showing recent pinpoint strikes against Ukrainian positions in the directions of Kherson, Zaporozhye and Donetsk.

Worsening weather conditions are expected to bring the Ukrainian counteroffensive to a halt within a few weeks. Kiev forces will attempt to break through Russian defenses in several directions before winter. However, they will not likely succeed.
