The Iranian military unveiled a new electronic warfare drone dubbed “Kaman-19” during large-scale drone drills, Iranian media reported on October 3.
The electronic warfare units of the Ground Force, Navy, Air Force, and Air Defense Force of the military took part in the drills, spokesman Brigadier General Alireza Sheikh said, adding that units practiced disrupting drone communication using ground-based and drone-borne systems.
“In this phase of the drills, an aerial operation to disrupt drone communication was successfully carried out by Ababil-4 and Kaman-19 drones,” the drills spokesman said, according to the official Islamic Republic News Agency.
More than 200 drones are taking part in the ongoing Iranian drills, codenamed “Artesh,” which will cover the Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman.
The specifications and capabilities of the Kaman-19 have not been revealed, yet. According to unverified information, the drone has an endurance of up to 24 hours.
Despite facing sabotage attempts by Israel as well as strict sanctions by the United States and the European Union, Iran is today one of the world leaders in drone technology. Tehran says its drone program is purely defensive. However, it is repeatedly accused of supplying advanced drones to its allies in the Middle East for use against regional foes as well as to Russia for use in the special military operation in Ukraine.

good job iran. speaking of electronic warfare, russia needs to develop a better offensive electronic warfare pod for its su34/35 for sead similar to the new next generation jammer of the ea18 growler than can jam every radar from low frequency surveillance radars to high frequency fire control radars. currently ruaf only uses sap-14 ecm which jams only x-band guidance radar. they need jammers for all radar types
sap14 ew jammer uses drfm (digital radio frequency memory) method for jamming. the new next gen jammer ngj uses aesa arrays for jamming low, mid, high band radars. f-35 and f-22 also use aesa arrays from their fire control radar to jam enemy radars. currently russia has no jammers using aesa, only drfm for now
actually su57 just like f35 f22 uses its own aesa guidance radar for electronic warfare jamming
as well as the ability to operate with multiple s-70 okhotnik heavy drones. i would not worry about the russians too much.
bayraktar akinci can do this but even more, jam communications, all enemy radars, uses state of the art aesa radar, but fly for longer and even higher altitudes. that being said for sanctioned nation with small gdp an amazing drone power of the world. probably top 3
…probably, that’s why the rich ukraine is so successful in warfare 😂😂😂
štát na ktorý usa a spolu s nim aj eu uvalili embargo napreduje vo vývoji technológii ktoré sú momentálne na špici záujmu všetkých vyspelých štátov. irán dokáže aj napriek sankciám napredovať.
