After Two Months Of Silence Prigozhin Shared Appeal From Africa

After almost two months of silence in the public sphere, the head of the Wagner Group Yevgeny Prigozhin shared a new video appeal that he filmed in Africa.

According to his claims, some Wagner fighters are now deployed in one of the African countries. Apparently he is talking about Mali. On August 20, some local sources reported that an Il-76 aircraft of the Russian Emergencies Ministry landed at Bamako airport, with the leadership of PMC Wagner on board.

Prigozhin claimed that at the moment the personnel of the Wagner Group are conducting reconnaissance and search activities against ISIS and Al-Qaeda militants and others.

“We are working. Temperature +50° as we love. The Wagner Group conducts reconnaissance and search activities. Makes Russia greater on all continents! And Africa more free. Justice and happiness for the African peoples. We make life a nightmare for ISIS, Al-Qaeda and other terrorists. We hire real heroes and continue to fulfill the tasks that were set and to which we made a promise to fulfill, ”Prigozhin said in the video

The arrival of Yevgeny Prigozhin in the region may be caused by the growing confrontation with the Tuareg in northern Mali, and amid the escalation of the situation in Niger, where a new military alliance is being created to protect the country against ECOWAS intervention.
