Russian Army Repels Ukrainian Attacks In Kupyansk And Several Other Directions (Videos)

The Russian military has repelled yet another wave of attacks by Kiev forces in Kupyansk and a number of other directions.

In its August 13 briefing, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that the Zapad Group of Forces had repelled six attacks and counterattacks by Ukraine’s 14th, 44th mechanized and 95th airborne assault brigades close to Novosyolovskoye as well as near Sinkovka and the Mankovka tract in the Kupyansk direction.

Ukrainian losses in this direction amounted to 60 troops, four armored fighting vehicles, two motor vehicles and an American-made AN/TPQ-36 counter-battery radar.

Meanwhile in the Donetsk direction, the Russian Yug Group of Forces repelled six attacks by the 110th mechanized, 5th assault, 81st airmobile and 79th airborne assault brigades of Kiev forces near Belogorovka, Vesyoloye, Krasnogorovka and to the west of Kleshcheevka.

The ministry said that 300 Ukrainian troops were killed or wounded during the fighting. Three armored fighting vehicles and two motor vehicles were also destroyed.

In the Krasny Liman direction, the Russian Tsentr Group of Forces repelled an attack by Ukraine’s 68th Jaeger Brigade to the southeast of Novoyegorovka.

Kiev forces lost 45 troops, three armored fighting vehicles, four pickup trucks, a Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer and a D-30 towed howitzer in this direction, according to the ministry.

And in the South Donetsk direction, the Russian Vostok Group of Forces targeted several Ukrainian units near Staromayorskoye and Urozhaynoye. 80 Ukrainian troops, a tank, four armored fighting vehicles, three motor vehicles as well as D-20 and D-30 towed howitzers were neutralized there.

In the Zaporozhye direction, another Ukrainian attack was repelled to the southwest of Uspenovka. In addition, Russian troops launched a comprehensive fire attack on gatherings of Kiev forces close to Yablonevoye and Malaya Tokmachka.

The ministry said that Kiev forces lost 40 troops, five tanks, five infantry fighting vehicles, three motor vehicles as well as a British-made FH-70, two Msta-B and a D-20 towed howitzers. .

Meanwhile in the Kherson direction, Kiev forces lost 20 troops, four motor vehicles and an American-made M777 towed howitzer to Russian military fire.

The ministry also provided the following details during its briefing:

Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have neutralized manpower and military hardware in 137 areas.

In addition, 1 forward command post of the 9th Army Corps of the AFU has been hit near Orekhov (Zaporozhye region).

1 control point for unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as AFU manpower and military hardware have been eliminated close to Pervomaiskoye (Donetsk People’s Republic).

Fighter Aviation of Russian Aerospace Forces has shot down 1 Mi-8 aircraft of Ukrainian Air Force near Brusovka (Donetsk People’s Republic).

Air defense units have shot down 8 projectiles launched by HIMARS MLRS.

In addition, 25 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles have been hit close to Kremennaya, Rubezhnoye, Zolotaryovka (Lugansk People’s Republic), Trudovskoye, Gorlovka (Donetsk People’s Republic), Chapaevka and Ocherevatoye (Zaporozhye region).

In total, 458 airplanes, 246 helicopters, 5,708 unmanned aerial vehicles, 429 air defense missile systems, 11,274 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,144 fighting vehicles equipped with MLRS, 5,862 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 12,207 special military motor vehicles have been destroyed during the special military operation.

The Russian MoD also announced in separate statements that five Ukrainians attacks were foiled in the last 24 hours. Four of the drones were intercepted over the Belograd region, while the fifth was shot down over the Kursk region.

Meanwhile, Russian news sources shared videos showing an attack on a convoy of Kiev forces, recent artillery strikes against a Ukrainian electronic warfare system and the destruction of two self-propelled howitzers with Lancet loitering munitions.

Kiev forces are about to conclude the tenth week of their counteroffensive without making any important achievement in any direction. Meanwhile, Ukrainian human and material losses are mounting. Despite this catastrophic situation, the Kiev regime appears to be determined to go on with the counteroffensive to appease its backers.
