Russia will launch an offensive in Zaporizhzhya.
Could be a good move, to push them away from the NPP
It does look like an indefensible position. I don’t think Russia will try to occupy this city in the near term.
It appears that offensive is coming from the South for many a reason. It will put huge pressure on Donetsk to encircle and recure the Nuclear power plant and the Dam. This is a major point in which to push West toward Odessa.
Bakhmut is still taking huge numbers, perhaps a thousand a day; as US and Natostan are desperate to hold on. The biggest underground supply and logistics hub and once gone it will very hard to hide troops and ammunition and fuel supply.
The Russians have massive fresh troops to rotate with fresh supply of heavy Armour and guns. It has been said Ukraine lost some 30,000 around Soledar and can presume Bakhmut is double, towards triple by time it is cleaned out. However the Russian military leadership is likely good with bleeding what’s left of the Ukrainian and Natostan troops in the meat grinder.
