Orion Intel OSINT group published new maps showing the activity of NATO and Swedish reconnaissance aircraft along the borders of Belarus, Ukraine and Russia from October 5 to November 5.
NATO reconnaissance activity has been significantly increased amid the ongoing Russian military operations in Ukraine. NATO member states provide the Armed Forces of Ukraine with all necessary reconnaissance and coordination support.
A significant increase in NATO flights was noted in the Black Sea area and along the southern borders of Ukraine. The increased number of NATO manoeuvres is explained by the intensification of the military activities of the AFU in the Kherson region. The regular flights of NATO reconnaissance aircraft over the neutral waters of the Black Sea are also used for preparation and coordination of Ukrainian attacks on the peninsula. For example, the US RQ-4B Global Hawk reconnaissance UAV, which took off from Sicily, had been circling over the neutral waters of the Black Sea near Crimea for several hours during the recent attack on the Russian Black Sea fleet in Sevastopol.
NATO aircraft are also patrolling the borders of Belarus, where Russian regional grouping was deployed.
