Russia to build invisible military bridges

On Monday, Russia’s Deputy Defense Minister Dmitry Bulgakov said that the country is going to develop invisible bridges in order to avoid enemy’s detection system.  He also said that the Russian Defense Ministry and domestic defense contractors are developing invisible demountable auto bridges.

“The bridges must be invisible for modern detection means to raise the survivability of bridge-crossing,” Bulgakov said.

Bulgakov also said that those invisible bridges will be made of innovated composite materials to make those bridges lighter in weight, wider and efficient to carry large load.

The deputy defense minister also said that the bridges will be very cost effective and at the same time will have higher longevity.  He said Russian industrial enterprises are conducting research and development to improve the operational effectiveness of these new invisible demountable auto bridges with the help of the specialists of the Khrulev Military Logistics Academy.

However, the Russian President Vladimir Putin recently announced that the country will continue its defense upgrade program despite  economic hardship and western sanctions.
