URGENT: Turkey Bans Facebook and Twitter After The Attack in Anakara

An Ankara court has just banned the access to Facebook, Twitter and other social media due to the tense situation in the capital Anakara, after a suicide car bomb killed at least 32 people. The news was officially reported by CNN Turk and NTV.

There were unconfirmed reports about the government banning the sharing of images from the scene of blast.

One thing could be said for sure that it’s never a good thing to impose censorship on the media in a tough situation like this one. It only makes the people panic because they don’t know what’s going on.

However, the Turkish government has been using this method in almost every case of an attack or just bitter problems, so we cannot expect anything different from them.

Details to follow!
