The Russian Defense Ministry carried out a whole range of measures to mislead the Armed Forces of Ukraine, created the illusion that we have “weak defense” and allegedly there is no information about the preparation of an offensive in the areas of Balakleya and Izyum, now the main task is to defeat the group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, military expert Konstantin Sivkov told VZGLYAD newspaper. On Saturday, the Defense Ministry announced the regrouping of troops in the areas of Balakleya and Izyum.
“Our military knew that an offensive was being prepared, so now the troops are regrouping to destroy the group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), which came to the areas of Balakleya and Izyum. It should be borne in mind that there are no fortified areas there, so the task of destroying the most combat-ready Ukrainian units will be solved quite successfully. This will take a few more days, ” said Konstantin Sivkov, Doctor of Military Sciences.
The expert emphasized that over the past three days, as it became known from the Defense Ministry’s report, more than 2 thousand Ukrainian and foreign militants, as well as over a hundred armored vehicles and artillery were destroyed. “The Armed Forces of Ukraine suffer large daily losses. Now the main task is to defeat the advancing group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, deprive it of its potential, knock out equipment that is located not in cities and fortified areas, but in open spaces. The Armed Forces of Ukraine should not have the strength and means to conduct an effective defense, ” the source explained.

On Saturday, the official representative of the Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov, announced the regrouping of Russian troops in the areas of Balakleya and Izyum within three days “to achieve the stated goals of the special military operation to liberate Donbass.” Konashenkov also noted that during the transfer, diversionary and demonstration activities were carried out with the designation of real actions of the troops. “In order to prevent damage to the Russian troops, the enemy was dealt a powerful fire defeat with the use of aircraft, rocket troops and artillery,” the Lieutenant General added.
Sivkov emphasizes that the diversionary maneuvers were carried out in order to “pull the AFU strike group out of the fortified areas.” “If this group would have remained in Slavyansk or Kramatorsk, how many would have had to” pick out ” it? And now it’s in the palm of your hand. Therefore, a whole complex of measures was carried out to mislead the enemy, creating the illusion that we have weak defenses in this area and allegedly there is no information about the preparation of the offensive. The enemy was misled about the location and actions of our troops, ” the expert added.

The Russian Army did quite well, the problem is the High Command. At the start of the war Russia was stronger than Ukraine, with the help of the West and the 6 months of military malpractice by the Russian High Command, Ukraine now has the larger and better Army. They could conquer Moscow now. No joking.
Ukraine has the ammunition from Russia now and tanks. But still they cannot go to Moscow. They would lack support and generate massive resistance. Ukraine will get Donbass and Crimea soon.
Ukraine’s army is larger because they are doing forced drafts across the board for not only men but women now as well, most of their army at this point is made up of reserves and conscripts.
Also, what is interesting here is this: first, a significant part of the promised equipment to Ukraine is not transferred immediately — for a significant part, funds are simply allocated for production; this means that Ukrainians will not see this equipment until 2023, and by that time, as it seems to me, there will no longer be any Ukraine and the equipment that we and the NATO countries have already handed over to them is now being destroyed.

If Russia shut off Ukraine’s electricity at the start of the invasion, a lot less civilians would have had the ability to leave the country through railways and whatnot and the situation would have been an even bigger quagmire than it already is, also, there’s the circulation of information online, many Ukrainians have the ability to see both sides of the story in all of this because they still have internet access, lastly, with more civilians being stuck in Ukraine, that means even more people getting sucked into Ukraine’s military through forced drafts.

Russia simply don’t have enough men to defend such a huge 1000 km frontline. There was a line which was virtually undefended, and the Ukis attacked there with around 5 to 1 advantage, and the Russians retreated to avoid encirclement, thereby saving their armed forces from destruction. But can Ukraine just repeat this attack anywhere else on the front? Like in the Donbass, or Kherson, or against Mariupol? I doubt it. Those places are actually defended by normal Russian Army units.
Mobilization is necessary on the long term, but the Russian defense will not just magically collapse in the next few months.
Actually Ukraine might be closer to defeat than we think, if they go overconfident after this and repeat the same attack elsewhere, they will be destroyed. If they stay around Kharkov and Izyum they will be destroyed too, because it’s close to the Russian border, and Russia will just keep unleashing massive artillery fire on them.
Ukraine showed that despite concentrating all of their best forces and equipment, they only managed to go through a single point where the defense was the weakest. They fail everywhere else.
We saw that in Kherson they had to stop the offensive because of the massive losses. Focus on the successful Kherson defense, instead of dooming about Izyum. A partial mobilization is possible even 200k additional troops would put Russia in a very good position.

This is exactly what happened to my Russian family who lived in Western Ukraine after WWI (100 years ago Western Ukraine was predominately Russia). Suddenly the Russian army ran away and my family ended up in a refugee camp. My family was lucky, my great uncles family were murdered by pro German “Ukrainians”.
