Ukrainian Military Hit Hydropower Plant In Novaya Kakhovka In Kherson Region

On July 18, the Armed Forces of Ukraine shelled again the town of Kakhovka in the Kherson region which is under control of the Russian military. As a result of the attack, the gas pipeline in the area of the local hydropower plant was damaged.

According to local reports, infrastructure facilities of the plant were not affected by the strike. The energy supply of the area was not interrupted.

The town of Raiskoe in the Kherson region was also hit by Ukrainian forces.

As a result of the strike on the city of Novaya Kakhovka in the Kherson region, several people were injured but no one was killed, said the head of the military-civil administration of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo.

According to unconfirmed reports the attack was carried out by US-made HIMARS.

 

Another attack in the area of the hydroelectric power station was carried out by the Ukrainian military on July 8.

On July 11, warehouses with mineral fertilizers and saltpeter exploded in Novaya Kakhovka as a result of a strike from Ukraine. Seven people were killed, several dozen others were injured. The missiles did not hit the territory of the hydroelectric power station.

Another attack in Novaya Kakhovka which resulted in insignificant damage  was reported on July 14.
