On the evening of May 3, Russian cruise missiles hit the Ukrainian Lviv, Dnepropetrovsk, Kirovograd, Vinnytsia, Odessa and Kiev regions. As a result of the strikes at least six railway stations and other strategically important objects in the central and western regions of Ukraine have been struck.
According to the head of the Ukrainian rail ways, Alexander Kamyshin, the infrastructure of six railway stations was severely damaged, the movement of 14 trains was delayed. There were no casualties among railway workers and passengers as a result ofthe attacks.
At the moment , strikes on the following substations in the Ukrainian Lviv region have been directly confirmed: substation “Sknilov-transit”, Electrical substation PS “Kleparov-transit” , traction substation “Podbortsy-T”.
Missile strikes in Dnipropetrovsk region damaged the railway infrastructure. The destruction was reported by the authorities of the Kamensky district, which was hit.
Also today, an infrastructure facility in the mountainous region of Transcarpathia was hit by the first Russian missile which arrived in the western region. The strike reportedly hit the railway substation in Volovets.
In the Vinnytsia region, the air defense system worked, two missiles were shot down. Three more missiles were shot down in the Odessa region, one was intercepted near Kiev.
