On November 30, the US-led coalition and its proxy, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), carried out a joint special operation in the western Raqqa countryside in northeastern Syria.

Coalition and SDF special operators landed from helicopters near the town of al-Suwidiayh where they intercepted a mini truck. The driver, a resident of the town, was apprehended, while the truck was moved an abandoned area then bombed by coalition warplanes.

The mini truck was likely destroyed because it was booby-trapped. The driver may be a member of one of ISIS’ active cells in Raqqa.

Around the same time, the coalition and the SDF carried out second special operation took place in the town of al-Traijiyah which is also located in the western countryside of Raqqa. The results of the operation remain unknown.

The US-led coalition and the SDF stepped up their operations against ISIS cells in northeastern Syria in the last few weeks. The coalition is likely attempting to crop the terrorist group’s influence in the region before the year’s end.

Early in November, the US-led coalition and the SDF thwarted a plot to storm a prison in al-Hasakah city where hundreds of ISIS captives are being held. The coalition neutralized the cell responsible for the plot and destroyed a booby-trapped vehicle.

Despite these efforts, the SDF is reportedly preparing to release more than 850 suspected members of ISIS from its prisons in a deal sponsored by sheikhs and tribal leaders.

Hypocritical ass holes pretending they are fighting each other.
The Kurds have to chose between the Turks and Syria. Remember Afrghanistan, Vietnam, Korea. Kurdish alliance with the US is only temporary.
