The Balochistan Liberation Army claimed responsibility for the attack, publishing a photograph of the car destroyed by the explosion.

Various Baloch separatist groups remain active in the region, fighting for the independence of the gas and mineral-rich province for decades.

Another incident took place on September 26th, when a soldier of the Pakistan’s Frontier Corps was martyred and two others were injured in a terrorist attack on a checkpoint in the Balochistan’s Mach area.

According to the reports, soldiers responded promptly, and one soldier was killed in a fire exchange.

“Pakistan Army remains committed to defeat such cowardly acts by externally sponsored terrorist elements. Terrorists will not be allowed to sabotage the hard-earned peace in the country,” the official statement reads.

On September 24th, two security personnel were martyred and five others injured in an attack in Awaran district.

In response to the regular attacks, Pakistan’s forces carried out several security operations in the region.

In early hours of September 26th, security forces had killed an ISIS commander, identified as Mumtaz Ahmed aka Pehelwan, in a raid in Balochistan’s Mastung district, a spokesperson for the province’s Counter Terrorism Department claimed.

According to reports, Ahmed was suspected in organization of the deadly suicide blast on an election rally in 2018 that claimed lives of at least 128 people.

Yeah, just like Pakistan and Iran oppress Balochs and Pashtuns and they are supporting terrorists in Kashmir. And now they are trying to label Balochis in the same category as ISIS and Al Qaeda terrorists.

Iran and Pakistan (Turkey also) did good at the Cold War but now they should chill.
