Late on September 23, a series of explosions rocked al-Khashinah military camp which is located in Jubah district to the south of the central Yemeni city of Ma’rib.

The camp, which hosts Saudi-backed forces, was severally damaged as a result of the explosions, which went on until the morning of September 24. The camp’s ammunition depots were reportedly wiped out.

Yemeni sources said that a pinpoint missile strike by the Houthis (Ansar Allah) was behind the explosions at al-Khashinah camp. The Yemen group is yet to confirm this.

Al-Khashinah camp is one of the last points standing between the Houthis and Ma’rib city. Houthi fighters captured the town of Mal’a which is located a few kilometers away from the camp earlier this week.

Now the Houthis are in talks with Jubah’s local leaders. An agreement to hand over the entire district to the Houthis is reportedly close.

The Houthis have been leading a large-scale offensive on Ma’rib city and nearby oil fields for more than seven months now. In a recently ground operation, Houthi fighters captured the districts of Medghal and Majzar as well as Mass military camp.

Saudi-backed forces in Ma’rib appear to be on the brink of complete collapse. Meanwhile, the Saudi-led coalition is doing nothing aside from providing close air support for its proxies.

Latest reports suggest that British commandoes recently sent to Yemen want the hell out. The writing is on the wall for the proto-simian Saudi Arabian led Axis of Evil. When The US decided to pull out its THAAD and Patriot batteries, it was all just a matter of time. Now, MBS is getting on his knees and groveling with Putin to sell him the S400 and other weapons. Putin’s reply should be “go suck nuts”.

Even if Russia decides to do the deal, it will take months until the Saudis would get their hands on that hardware and it would take additional time for their troops to learn to operate the systems. Besides, it is a pure defensive system. It will also be very expensive to use it against low cost drones and ballistic projectiles. It will hurt the Saudis anyway in some way or another. All they need to do is to get the hell out of Yemen and try to make some sort of deal to stop this failed conflict before it will cripple them more.
