Slow but steady progress west of Marib. Some rumors about Saudi soldiers retreating to the fortified Saudi/Hadi military bases located on the northeast side of town. That coincides with the Houthis reporting an increase of al Qaeda militant ‘replacements’ on the west side – Saudi-paid replacements for their own inept troops. Unfortunately for al Qaeda, there doesn’t appear to be much direct Saudi air-ground support for them. The airstrikes tapered off after the Saudis ran away. Houthis are generally tearing up the head-choppers in the mountains as a result.

The head-choppers keep retreating back into the IDP camps, but those are being abandoned by the refugees/human shields for camps further east. This leaves the Saudi shills crying about Houthis attacking IDP camps without mentioning they’re 1) abandoned and 2) full of fleeing head-choppers. In any case, previously well-defended objectives like Idat al-Raa are falling, so the march continues. More tribal and merc defections in Marib to Ansar Allah as well, so the locals know it’s only a matter of time.
