Three US soldiers died in a crash of the Army National Guard helicopter in Mendon, New York. The Black Hawk helicopter crashed during a ‘routine training mission’ in the evening (an ordinary ‘routine mission’ amid the inauguration of Joe Biden), according to the state’s National Guard.
The UH-60 Black Hawk medical evacuation helicopter involved in the incident was based at the Army Aviation Support Facility at Rochester International Airport.
The incident is under investigation.
