France is reportedly preparing for a military intervention in Libya to ‘fight ISIS’.
The French government is preparing for intervention in Libya in the first half of 2016, Le Figaro reported on Dec. 23 citing unnamed French defense officials said.
The official reason of intervention is ‘to fight ISIS’.
According to the report, France is seeking to build a coalition with its European allies. Italy has reportedly already agreed to participate. Discussions are also ongoing with the United Kingdom and some North Africa and Gulf Arab states such as Algeria, Tunisia and Egypt.
