Montenegro is strengthening sanctions against Russia because of Ukraine, which is the first effect of the recent NATO invitation.
Government of Montenegro adopted a draft of the decision on the introduction of international restrictive measures established by the Council of the European Union in relation to, as stated, actions that undermine or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.
“With this decision restrictive measures are introduced internationally in relation to actions that undermine or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine. This was decided by the Council of the European Union, which Montenegro joined, in accordance with the foreign policy priority of harmonization with the European Union in the area of common foreign and security policy”, according to the draft decision of the Montenegrin Government, reported by CDM.
So entry into the territory of Montenegro is restricted for individuals who are responsible for actively supporting or conducting activities or policies that undermine or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence, or stability or security in Ukraine, or that interfere with the work of international organizations in Ukraine, as well as persons associated with them.
Entrance to our country is prohibited for persons who actively provide material or financial support to the Russian decision-makers or have benefits from Russian decision-makers who are responsible for, as stated, the annexation of the Crimea or destabilization of eastern Ukraine, but also to those who manage transactions with separatist groups in Ukraine’s Donbass region.
In addition, access to resources and assets of the people that threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine is restricted.
