Russian Ambassador to Turkey Alexei Yerkhov said that he received threats to his life due to the escalation of the situation in Idlib.
The diplomat noted that recent events in the Syrian province have caused anti-Russian hysteria in Turkish social networks.
“There’s an escalation in Syria. I agree: very painful events and troubled days. First Russian officers, then Turkish soldiers died. But look at what a monstrous whistle began in social networks. I don’t want to, but I will quote some of the sayings. “Goodbye to your life, “No one will mourn you,” “It is time for you to burn out,” and all that jazz,” Yerkhov said.
According to him, a similar situation happened five years ago due to the situation in Aleppo.
“How did it end? The “airplane crisis” and the villainous assassination of Ambassador Andrei Karlov. By the way, they directly threaten me, personally,” the ambassador added. “And so, does history really teach no one?”
Yerkhov also noted “the bloodthirstiness of some authors of blogs and posts, anger and hatred, to a point when they even lose the ability to reason logically.”
“But the second thing, in my opinion, is even more dangerous: it’s an absolute reluctance to understanding the partner, his logic of actions, to heed his words and take for granted the right of another to his own point of view, different from your vision of what is happening. This kind of attitude can turn into a big disaster,” the diplomat concluded.
The Turkish authorities are taking all measures to protect Russian diplomats in connection with threats to the Russian ambassador to Ankara, Alexei Erkhov, a spokesman for the Turkish Foreign Ministry said.
“Our relevant authorities take all the necessary measures around the clock regarding the security of the Russian Embassy in Ankara and all consular buildings located in our country, as well as diplomats and their families. Any notifications and requests sent by the Russian Embassy in Ankara to our ministry regarding the security of their missions or diplomats, are evaluated seriously and promptly transferred to our respective bodies,” the spokesperson said.
The Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov commented that Turkey would undertake all necessary measures to guarantee the security of the Russian ambassador, and other employees of the embassy.
Regardless, the threats towards Ambassador Yerkhov show the level of radicalization reached by a part of Turkish society, as well as the scope of Ankara’s propaganda regarding the situation in Idlib.
Former Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrei Karlov, on December 19th, 2016 was shot and killed by Mevlüt Mert Altıntaş, an off-duty Turkish police officer, at an art exhibition in Ankara, Turkey.
The man shouted “Allahu Akbar” and something about Syria as he carried out his attack.
Turkey, back then, claimed that FETO, which Ankara deems a terrorist organization carried out the attack, but it is very apparent, that the public hate campaign against Damascus and Moscow towards the fight against terrorists in Syria and the fight for Aleppo were among the key reasons for the tragedy that took place.
The same excuse was used when a Turkish F-16 fighter jet downed a Russian Su-24M attack aircraft on November 24th, 2015, FETO was blamed as having caused the tragedy, saying that it targeted Russian-Turkish relations.
FETO is being used as a be-all and end-all for all tragedies that are caused by the heavy propaganda in Turkish society.
MORE ON THE TOPIC:
What else can you expect from Turkey savage terrorists? Russia has been too kind to these headchopping scum. It is time to liberate Constantinople, Peter the Great should not have stopped. The Turkey faggots suffered their worst defeat at the hands of a Russian woman, Catherine the Great.
yea come to Istanbul lol,You have lost your mind.
The Kurds are doing a good job liberating Anatolia from the mongol retards :)
I think you dont know Treaty of Mac Mahon ahaha.Arabs are slaves of Turks. Taking Egypt is the best example. Thanks to the Mongols, millions of Turkish immigrants to Anatolia have been created, thanks to which the Ottomans, one of the most powerful states in history, were established.
LOL, what an uneducated moron :) no wonder the shithole is called TURKEY!
you’re obviously uneducated, you need to read a little history, even more. XDD
you can start with Ottoman history first, because most of the history is in the Ottoman Empire. XDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
All in good time. You don’t kill the golden goose. Erdo has provided the mechanism for Russia to accomplish her goals. Erdo, on the other hand thinks he is manipulating Putin and Russia. He’s far to self-centered and conceited to see that he is nothing more than a tool…in more ways than one. Erdo will likely self-destruct by inflicting more destruction on the Turkish economy. He was crawling on his knees after Russia halted travel there. This showed his (Turkey’s) true weaknesses.
let’s see how his fate will resolve.
Didn’t James Le Mesurier, the leader of the White Helmets end his days in Turkey? Like most places, some dodgy characters taking their 30 pieces of Soros Silver. Watch out for bio-assassins and always wear a gun proof vest, is my best advice.
Le Mesuirer was a fool who was living inside the city with no guards.
An old street seller , who was selling some cheap handkerchiefs and rosaries in the same street Mesuirier was living and found out to be a syrian refugee later on , disappeared after the day he died and he still missing. Most probably back in Damascus by now.
Syrian refugee, could have been anybody. How many White Helmet morons poise as Syrian refuges, when they need some respite from faking videos and terrorist duties?
What had Le Mesurier done to upset his masters?
Edwards has a pretty good in depth look into Le Mesurier, as well as a lot of things Turkey. Unfortunately, one has to pay to read her work, which is very good. https://www.newsbud.com/
Thanks for the link.
He failed, and his future didn’t look so bright anymore.
Perhaps he was writing a book :)
That has been mentioned. Lovely friends he hung out with.
Film stars, oscar winners and freedom fighters all :)
Still tw*t’s, haha. Inbred IQ.
If the corona virus spreads in the UK, Boris has the ideal cadre for a civil defence emergency.
The White Helmets already in the UK :)
Many born and bred here, just sent out for the usual pillage tour.
Who can reach him and threaten him in TR, with what means ?
Fatso is most probably out of vodka and hallucinating.
Turks start barking to Russia. The times when their tooth will be pulled out is getting closer.
As we know Erdogan was already an delinquant when teenager. robbing and murdering people in the street . Then he joined AKP supposedly “Islamic party”. Well, a delinquant now belonging to Islamic party, I guess this guy is not even muslim, but mere CRYPTO JEW, and that’s true. This delinquant lies to everybody.
he should lose 20 kilos
This must be Erdos way of threatening Russia. As everyone knows, Turkey (as well as other ‘free countries’) control the content of social media. Who believes these are not signals from Erdo? Seems as if Erdo is getting nervous and trying to put pressure on Putin. Having a second ambassador assassinated in ones country is not a good idea, but then Erdo is not known for good ideas. The day when he makes a severe blunder and tries to put Russia in a corner will be the last thing he does as Pasha. Erdo, the US and Israel are all still in bed together and think they are hoodwinking Russia. What fools.
