Videos: Turkish-Backed Militants Target Syrian Army Positions, Vehicles With Guided Missiles

The National Front for Liberation (NFL) destroyed on January 16 and 17 several positions and vehicles of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) using anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs).

In the southeastern Idlib countryside, members of Turkish-backed militant groups destroyed a vehicle and a battle tank near the town of Tell Khatra. They also targeted a military position in the outskirt of the town of al-Tah.

NFL militants also targeted two fortified positions of the SAA near the Castlo road and in the district of Halab al-Jadida around Aleppo’s city center.

These ATGM strikes were carried to support al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), whose militants launched a series of successful-counter attacks in southeast Idlib in the last two days.

Last year, the NFL joined the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA). However, the group maintained a presence in Greater Idlib. The group’s militants are now fighting side by side with terrorist groups, benefiting from Ankara’s support.
