90 Syrian Militants Killed, Injured Or Went Missing On Nagorno-Karabakh Fronts – Report

Illustrative image

Dozens of Turkish-backed Syrian militants had been killed, injured or went missing while fighting for the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in the disputed area of Nagorno-Karabakh, the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported on October 1.

“The last 48 hours saw a large-scale participation of the Syrian factions loyal to Ankara in the battles of the Nagorno-Karabakh hills,” the monitoring group said in its report.

According to the SOHR, the number of Syrian militants who were killed by Armenian forces has risen to 28. At least 62 others were either injured or went missing.

At total of 850 Syrian militants have been reportedly deployed in Azerbaijan, thus far. Turkish security companies are behind the deployment.

Turkey appears to be supporting Azerbaijan’s operation in Nagorno-Karabakh, which began on September 27. Besides deploying Syrian militants, Ankara was accused of taking an active role in the aerial operations of Baku forces over the disputed area.

The Turkish indirect intervention may further escalate the battle in Nagorno-Karabakh, similar to what we saw in Libya and Syria before.

Traiano Welcome

What a convenient way for Turkey to get rid of all the terrorists it trained in Syria.

Lone Ranger

???

JIMI JAMES

What you get for trying to do the dirty on the the the other who knows more about dirt?

Sauron

PMCs and drones – future of the battle

paolinks

Metal Gear Solid 4 – Guns of the Patriots

Sauron

Sci-Fi but has could happen

paolinks

Sci-Fi just because it shows military hardware that is non existent. But the characterization of modern society is spot on.

The MIC ( the Patriots ), a society gone insane for money, authoritarianism everywhere ( even in so called democracies ), and the poor forced to die on the battlefield to feed their families.

Sauron

I couldn’t agree more.

Lone Ranger

Condolences to the fallen CIAisis and wahabimossad operators.
May they rest in pieces…

SevenMoons

Totally fake news. How do they know that “At least 62 others were either injured or went missing.” So they have spies in the ranks?

paolinks

Yes, this is how war works. There are spies everywhere.

Jens Holm

I am sure its heard from a spokesman or vomen. All the media dirt seemes produced very well and some even seemes to be made before any of those fightings.

paolinks

Obviously there is propaganda and fake news. But some things are real.

For example, I have noted that 99% of pro-Armenia twitter accounts have been opened in July 2020 or September 2020. And each one of them has a hot woman as avatar. Indeed really strange.

But the same is true for Azerbaijan, except that the accounts have bearded turkish zealots as avatars.

SevenMoons

So 90 out of 820 Syrians are gone? Azeris have not started the ground offensive yet.

What propaganda.

Jens Holm

Maybee. SOHR almost always is a relative sober one. But 90??

SnowCatzor

SOHR are a pro-opposition (terrorist) entity, so they have little motivation to inflate their casualties. The fact that reports of these dead terrorists upsets you tells us all we need to know about your worldview, thug.

johnny rotten

The ridiculous and farcical observatory is the first to launch into the next propaganda war of the West against the dictator ErDOGan, is this what we are seeing?

paolinks

It looks so.

Jens Holm

He create truth under his bed blanket.

He was a Jews but after turning on a 7 armed candelabre down there, he is not and his beind and even more is stil hot.

roland

For fucks sake Jen’s sometimes you speak in code and it seems only you can understand this code

roland

Erdogan is a little piece of shit. He is like most other leaders who style themselves as strongmen, weak cowardly and small.

angrycitizen

Good news for Syria. They have 90 less Syrian headchopping militants to worry about.

Cheryl Brandon

War in the Caucasus Will Draw in Russia and Turkey.

Armenia and Azerbaijan are on the brink of conflict that will roil NATO, the Middle East and oil markets.

By James Stavridis (retired United States Navy admiral)
Bloomberg.

30 September 2020, 08:00 BST

Over the four years I was at NATO, there were a number of half-hearted military thrusts by the Azeris, which were easily stopped by the Armenians.

Our intelligence assessments found that the Armenians were almost certain to win if things came seriously to blows.

The Russian Federation was supplying arms and training to both sides, and the Russians actually had a somewhat calming effect. You know things are bad when Putin is playing peacemaker.

What is particularly dangerous in this latest flare-up is that Turkey and Russia are strongly backing different horses. The Turks dislike the Armenians and support their fellow Muslims in Azerbaijan. (In Armenia, memories of massacres by the Ottoman Turks over a century ago remain a significant factor in national thinking.) Russia has a formal defense treaty and warm military-to-military relations with Armenia.

Bear in mind that the other nations adjacent to the fighting are ever-unstable Georgia and one of America’s most determined enemies, Iran. And that oil-rich Azerbaijan — with 7 billion barrels of proven reserves and large amounts of natural gas — has vulnerable pipelines that run as close as 10 miles from the Armenian border.

Turkey and Russia are on opposite sides (as they are in Syria and Libya as well). And the European Union is absorbed by the Brexit endgame and tensions at sea in the eastern Mediterranean between Greece and Turkey. NATO, which still has partnerships with Armenia and Azerbaijan, says “both sides should immediately cease hostilities” and there is “no military solution to this conflict,” but offers no concrete proposal.

According to a statement from Yerevan, Artsakh defense forces shot down an Azerbaijani helicopter near the Varazatumb (Lele Tepe) area. The wreckage of the helicopter fell to the territory of Iran.

We also had an Azeri UAV shot down by Artsakh forces.

The President of Nagorno-Karabakh, Araik Harutyunyan, said
“If Azerbaijan continues its military operations in Karabakh, it will suffer thousands of casualties among its troops and its economy will collapse for decades to come.”

Bring back the spartans, tell pompeious + pyatt where to go,like back to hell!

Romeo Pesiao

Using proxy fighters is a bad idea. Because this people has no sense of patriotism and no reason to offer their life except for money. If this people will get hungry and no money in their pockets, they easily give up the fight. And they are fighting against the Armenians who are determined to fight for their freedom and sovereignty and further the ire of the Armenians to the Turk’s fueled their eagerness to fight a bloody battle to the end.

Cheryl Brandon

so true

Georgios
