Al-Nusra(the Syrian Al-Qaeda; Its new brand is Jabhat Fatah al-Sham)-led attacks over the past three days in Aleppo resulted in killing of at least 84 people and injuring of 280, the Syrian military said in a statement on October 30.
“Al-Nusra Front terrorist group and a number of affiliated militant groups continue intensifying attacks on the city of Aleppo from several directions, taking advantage of the ceasefire,” the statement reads.
Al-Nusra and its allies launched a wide-scale offensive on the Syrian government forces in the southwestern part of Aleppo city last Friday.
Since then, the militants have been massively shelling the government-controlled neighborhoods of Aleppo with mortars, rocket launchers and artillery and launched a series of attacks to break the government forces’ defenses.
Where are these Mortars and ammunition coming from????? Better Kerry should answer this
