Iraqi security forces (ISF) have liberated two villages – al-Sada and Tawilah – north of the ISIS-held city of Mosul, Lt. Gen. Abdul Amir Rasheed Jarallah, the commander for the Nineveh Operation said in a statement.
According to the statement, ISF destroyed 8 vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices (VBIEDs) and killed 70 members of the terrorist group in the area.
On December 29, Iraqi forces relaunched an offensive against ISIS terrorist group in the area of Mosul.
