Over 30 ISIS Members Killed In Clashes With Syrian Army East Of Aleppo

On January 31, over 30 ISIS terrorists were killed in a failed counter-attack against the Syrian army near the Kuweires Airbase in the eastern Aleppo countryside, according to the so-called “Syrian Observatory of Human Rights”. Pro-government sources report that up to 55 ISIS members were killed.

The ISIS counter-attack was aimed to reverse the recent government forces gains in the area (more about here). However, the terrorist group failed to achieve its goal.

On February 1, the Syrian army’s Tiger Forces and the National Defense Forces (NDF) continued advances in the direction of al-Bab.
