3 Civilians Injured In Bomb Attack Near Iraqi Capital

Three civilians have been injured in a bomb attack near the Iraqi capital of Baghdad, the media outlet Baghdad Today reported on March 7.

According to the report, the blast occured near a market in the town of Yusufiyah, south of Baghdad. Security forces launched an investigation into the incident.

With the liberation of the key cities and towns in western and northwestern Iraq in 2017, ISIS’ self-proclaimed caliphate officially collapsed in the war-torn country. However, the terrorist group’s cells are still active in the number of cities.

On March 6, security forces arrested 26 ISIS-linked suspects in the city of Mosul. On March 5, three policmen were killed in Mosul in an ISIS gun attack.
