Saudi warplanes reportedly struck fishing boats in near the coastal town of al-Khokha, located 90km south of the key port city of Hudaydah, on September 18 evening.

According to local soures, the Saudi Air Force may have believed that the fishing boats are water-borne improvised explosive devices belonging to the Houthis. However, a lack of reconnaissance resulted in another massacre carried out by the Saudi-led forces.

The strike near al-Khokha took place amid the intensified fighting around the provincial capital – Hudaydah, which has been a target of a seroes of offensive operation by Saudi-led forces. However, so far, the Saudi-led coalition and its proxies have failed to capture the port city.

Maybe the Saudis thought they were smuggling weapons, maybe they didn’t bother to check. Things get weird when the Saudis aren’t official blockading anything but are quitely throttling the Houthis supplies.
