According to the latest reports from al-Waar district in Homs, about 120 terrorists with members of their families have been evacuated from the region to the northern parts of the province. The evacuation has become a result of an agreement with the Syrian government.

Governor-general of Homs, Tallal al-Barazi, said that negotiations, aimed at reaching an agreement for reestablishment of security and stability in different regions, were held between the two Syrian sides without any foreign interference.

Al-Barazi also noted that a UN representative did not take part in the reconciliation plans and supporting the talks that was very surprising for the both sides.

On Monday, sources in al-Waar district in the province of Homs announced that the evacuation of terrorists from the region had to be delayed because the UN representative did not show up for the final transfer.

According to terrorist groups’ information websites, the reason of the delay of the evacuation of the first group of terrorists was the fact that the UN representative didn’t appear at an agreed place, where two buses were waiting to transport terrorists. Terrorists, who were waiting to be transported, had to return to their homes. The UN representative explained his actions by the fact that a road from Homs to Idlib was insecure.

Earlier this month, al-Barazi confirmed that a reconciliation process in the district of al-Waar was underway, and an agreement to evacuate terrorists and their families from the region was reached between the Syrian Army and leaders of terrorists groups in al-Waar district.

He noted that most of terrorists, who were going to be evacuated, have been seriously wounded in clashes with Syrian troops and could not be cured in al-Waar. Al-Barazi also stressed that the Syrian government plans to include the rest part of al-Waar’s terrorists to the nationwide reconciliation plan.
